USD 500 P-Card Spending: What We Found
The Wyandotte County chapter reviewed USD 500's (Kansas City Kansas Public Schools) 2024 procurement card records and followed up with the district on specific concerns. See the numbers, the district's answers, and the source documents.
Property Tax History
In 2024, Wyandotte County levied $343,810,902 in real and personal property tax. In 1985 the figure was $67,558,438. Over those 40 years the total grew 5.1 times over, an average of about 4.3% per year. The change from 2023 to 2024 was +3.5%.
"Property tax levied" is the total real and personal property tax billed countywide that year — not what any one homeowner paid, not adjusted for inflation or population, and it excludes motor vehicle property tax (taxed separately under K.S.A. 79-5100). A large single-year jump usually means a major new taxable property came onto the rolls. See How Property Tax Works for how an individual bill is calculated.

What's Not Here Yet
Mill levies, appraised and assessed value, and delinquency/foreclosure records are still to come — those take county-by-county research and will be added with sources as they're confirmed. Tax years 1985–2013 come from a KDOR report no longer on the state's website (recovered from the Internet Archive); 2014–2024 from the reports still published, with overlapping years cross-checked between them.
